Quality & Certification

Why IPT Certification Makes a Difference When Buying an Industrial Fan

On paper, two industrial fans can look identical: same diameter, similar motor, close price. In practice, actual performance can be quite different, and that's where IPT (Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas) certification comes in: one of Brazil's most respected institutions for technical testing.

What the certification actually guarantees

  • Real airflow: the m³/min figure on the data sheet is lab-validated, not just marketing.
  • Controlled noise level: important for acoustic comfort and for meeting workplace safety standards.
  • Operational safety: blades and structure tested to reduce failure risk under continuous use.
  • Energy efficiency: correctly sized motors consume less to deliver the same result.

The risk of buying without certification

A fan without independent testing can deliver real airflow well below what's advertised, which in practice means paying for a capacity the equipment never had. The result: a poorly ventilated environment, an overworked motor, and a service life much shorter than it should be.

How Sixion handles this

Every fan and exhaust fan in the Sixion line is IPT-certified and undergoes testing at renowned laboratories before leaving the factory in Joinville, Brazil, part of a quality process that has been refined since the Mold Motores days, back in the 1960s.

When comparing quotes

Always ask for the data sheet with test results, not just the airflow figure from the catalog. That's the difference between buying an m³/min number and buying real ventilation.
